Pat Siuta is an experienced trial attorney who has served as a mediator, arbitrator, and case evaluator for 25 years. She has mediated complex and multi-party cases, with as many as 65 people participating in the process. Pat has also trained several thousand people as mediators and arbitrators, including judges, lawyers, and professionals from many different countries. Most of the mediators and arbitrators at Henning were trained by Pat. She has successfully tried cases in state and federal courts, including class action lawsuits. Pat is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, which is comprised of the most experienced mediators and arbitrators in the U.S. and recommended by litigation firms. She has mediated or arbitrated cases in many subject areas including personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death, product liability, business, commercial, employment, consumer, construction, civil rights, professional malpractice, real estate, environmental, probate, intellectual property, divorce, and complex domestic relations matters. Pat has resolved several high-level disputes at the Pentagon, and mediated numerous cases involving governmental agencies.
Pat has served as a mediator for the U.S. District Court and for the Georgia Superior Court. She served as an arbitrator for Ford Motor Company's Dispute Settlement Board for three years. She has also assisted companies in creating private dispute resolution programs for resolving disputes with employees, customers and others.
Pat has provided training for law firms, corporations, insurance companies, and governmental agencies. Among the training programs she has taught are Civil Mediation, Advanced Mediation Skills, Employment Mediation, Family & Domestic Relations Mediation, Advanced Negotiation Skills, Arbitration, International Arbitration, Neutral Case Evaluation, Mastering Mediation Advocacy, Conflict Prevention & Management, and Diversity Training.
Pat graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School, and began practicing law in Minnesota in 1975. She was admitted to practice in Georgia and Minnesota, and in the U.S. District Court and Court of Appeals.
Pat was the Director of the Lawyer Skills Program at Georgia State University College of Law and taught Trial Advocacy, and numerous other courses. At Hamline University College of Law she was the Director of Clinical Programs, and taught litigation and other courses. Pat was an adjunct faculty member at Kennesaw State University’s Master of Science in Conflict Management program. Previously, she was Sr. Vice President of Resolution Resources Corporation, and Vice President of Resolute Systems, Inc. where she mediated, arbitrated, and led their training and consulting programs.
Pat joined Henning Mediation's Panel of Neutrals in 2004 and is available for mediation and arbitration. Sessions may be conducted via secure video conferencing.
