Judge John J. Goger has served as a trial judge in the State and Superior Courts of Fulton County since 1995, presiding over complex civil and criminal cases. Before taking the bench, he worked in private practice with an emphasis on commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Since 2011, he has been the Presiding Judge of the Metro Atlanta Business Court Division of the Superior Court of Fulton County, and was appointed Senior Judge in 2019. His storied career includes overseeing the incorporation of the Gwinnett Superior and State Courts into the Business Court Division (2016), as well as a three-year stint in the Family Division of the Superior Court.
John joined Henning Mediation's Panel of Neutrals in 2019 and is available for mediation and arbitration. Sessions may be conducted in-person at Henning's Atlanta office, via secure video conferencing. John is also part of our Savannah panel and travels to coastal Georgia for in-person sessions.
